What is a Head of Mission?
A Head of Mission is a term that applies to any Canadian Ambassador, High Commissioner, Permanent Representative or Consul General who is the most senior accredited official sent on behalf of the Government of Canada to a country, city or organization where Canada has a mission. A mission can be an Embassy, a High Commission, a Permanent Mission or a Consulate General.
